Fudge, first day on a new job and have two technical books to go through.
One book I am getting tested, I have to cover 152 pages and the other I have 93 pages.
The books are huge and this is only a third of each book.
Oh yeah, I have to be up at 0500 am to get ready for work also...
This is what my butt is going to be doing all summer...
Can't you get some electrical work with your knowledge of electronics?

I'm tired of these generic MMOs whos idea of "content" is random drops that you can't predict and force players to play your game for 6 months trying to get a single item.
The only reason it exists is because people eat it up, they give in and they let companies abuse them, their money, and their time. They space content out just enough so that players will play for x amount of time, all while they bring in millions each month.
We beg for content and we don't get anything for our purchase other than a game we can do something with our friends. Beyond that, it's just a scam.
I'm just worn down, can't stand this. They are opening 1-5 to do it as much as you want in a month or so but I've already gave 4+ months of my time, and week after week I get nothing for it while I see others in different teams get it. I'm tired of feeling cheated and feeling like this is unfair. If you overcome a challenge you should receive rewards for beating it, but they make the challenges so easy to beat that they have to make the rewards random drops so people keep doing the content.

All right, time for me to be weird and creepy. I'm a porn addict (shocking), and *** around on myfreecams quite often. There is a film trying to make a movie about cam girls and you should all support it!
They took a bunch of the footage they shot at Sophia Locke's Cam Girl Mansion this past January and made a trailer. It isn't about the sad and depressing run away from home hookers sob story. It is a look at women that model and cam for a living.
Pretty sure there is no nudity in the preview, but it is obviously explicit and not safe for work!

Not much else I can say unless I just harp on the boring topic of "yea, I definitely only play MMOs for a chance to play something with friends."

I'm a glutton for punishment. Or maybe am incapable of learning from past mistakes. N'idiot.
I have never, not once ever, liked the results when I've dyed my hair. When I dyed it blonde, it made me look washed-out and it was yellow, not really blonde. You know, that weird brassy yellow color?
Then brown. That turned it green, probably because I used a store box instead of getting it done at a salon.
And then I decided on red. But not full-on red, just highlights to test the waters. I did go to a salon for that (well a beauty school actually) and this is how THAT turned out:
They forgot to put red on one side and then it turned orange as soon as I washed it. >.>
But now red sounds like a great idea again. WHY. Why do I wish to punish myself all the darn time with evil, horrible, rotsome hair dye?
Oh yeah. This is why.

Like I said. N'idiot.

don't get anything for our purchase other than a game we can do something with our friends Is this a bad thing though, you say it like it doesn't mean much... Don't get me wrong I like getting drops as much of the next person but it's not why I play MMOs, I play MMOs for the people. Over the years in XI I met many fun and interesting people, if I had never played XI I would never have been to this site which had the same results, XIV is no different. In my experiences with these people I've learned a lot and even grown as a person, it was getting to know a few people from this site along with the general acceptance that made me able to accept that I am bisexual rather than trying to deny it to myself and making myself miserable. Having to lead my coil group definitely banged on the walls of my comfort zone (still does a little bit to be honest) but it's something I've become more comfortable with over the last couple months and I like to think I haven't done a terrible job of it. You could argue that these are things I could have learned or grown to in RL but I didn't, and I doubt I ever would have.
Working a night shift I don't get to see people much in real life any more so the opportunity to do anything with a group of friends is precious to me. To me the rewards of a MMO aren't what comes out of a chest at the end of a dungeon, it's the friendships and bonds you form along the way. I celebrate when one of my team mates gets something they need/want just as much as when I get something and if you need a practical view point the better geared your friends/team is the better off you are as well. There are ups and downs sure, but in all the years of XI/XIV there is only one thing I regret about it and even that is people related not about the game itself.
Maybe I'm just doing it wrong but that's how I feel on it.

The items don't mean ***to me, as long as I'm enjoying myself with whomever I'm playing with, the game can do whatever the *** it wants with its drops!
edit: I'm happy I found another Ormus' Robes today, and it wasn't eth this time!

The game isn't going to change but you can. If you're not happy with the way its going then stop supporting them by resubscribing every month. I'm not on end game or even near it but I'm enjoying myself. If it got to the point where I hated how the system worked I'd try and find something else to do.
If you really want the game to change for the better than leave them recommendations. There is an option in the help menu to leave feedback. I know some people feel like they never listen but if no one ever speaks up then how will things change?

Drac and I both played Neverwinter a bit although he progressed much faster than me so didn't get to play directly together. I also played The Old republic with Iro Huro and a couple others, White knight Chronicles a bit with Quiz Val and Narshee. People tended to trail off quickly though and as it stands XIV is simply the game that has held the biggest concentration of people I know.

Minefield's gaming experiences seem much more interesting than my own.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
