I didn't stop playing 14 though <_< Even if I did play 11 it would take forever to catch up
Not really, since with the new Eminence, it's like kill so many mobs or make hits with 500 or 1000 HP per hit and you get points for iLevel gear which is like 117 and even on BLM I can solo Abys and Dynamis without any problems.
It's pretty much a soloers game now, I find it funny while on BLM and no special abilities I can take Mikey head on and shoot him down while taking full blasts from spells and only get hit 68HP. While I can't say FFXI is a game worth coming back to, it's fun to run around and take care of business while on BLM.
Yeah... In 30min you can be hitting 700+ on regular hit crits. It's still not a soloers game though since the top end stuff still needs groups.
