I mean this isn't really anything new. The fact is even when a pokemon thread was made it lasts a page or two before going dormant for months. Same thing tends to happen in here and it is technically a thread for whatever decides to pop into our heads to talk about. I understand if it's really annoying everyone but seriously, this is normal not only for this thread but also for human interaction in general.
We do the same thing with boobs/relationships/gundams/digimon/anime.

If a friend had a dream about you and a person you were dating and in the dream it was silliness to you but your friend takes the dream seriously.
