What's wrong with eating ostrich? In Korea they eat dog meat. I'm kind of sad I didn't get to try any, actually.

Yeah I am just watching news blips about it.
Just as long as the horse was naturally raised, it's probably better for you than all the hormones they jam in beef.
Fatter cattle with bad blood circulations and weak bones doesn't sound like something I want to eat. Oh and the inspections on post mortem on beef isn't comforting either, but atleast they do that. It's more of a cultural thing... many people look at horses the same way we look at cats and dogs, as friends rather than a food source. Kinda the same thing as how eating cats and dogs seems wrong to alot/most people in NA, idk about EU.

Mmm the problem is more that those horses were not raised for human consumption (or no one really knows where the meat came from? i don't remember :O) and could be treated with all kind of medicine that you'd normally not want to have in your meat :<
Also if you think you think you're buying beef, and in reality it could be anything, that's a bit disturbing.
