I'm using the decorated iron.

Wield rate increases the time guard is up, or the chance to block ?

Anyway, self-preservation gives your guard a pretty long duration, and when my guard is up, I block almost every time I get hit.

The Vintage Kite wins on the stats I don't really care, however, I would use it for some specific things, like a solo build with lots of magic spells, or for that GLA/THM mix described in the other thread.

But for pure - normal - tanking, the decorated iron.

Well it looks like the Scutum may have won this one for heavy tanking then.
