Briareus

Hi asura!! Just putting it out b/c I hate La Theine Plateau and all the whining it offers. My Ls group is currently working through kannagi upgrades, so that means *gasp* I'm killing anything that looks like a Gigas.

I commend your dedication to umm improving your character and as cool as it is to watch you solo all these mobs, I'm keen on being timely and efficient. That being said, I'm more than willing to move you along your merry way with your pop set trophies, kill it, leech the TH etc etc instead of waiting 30 minutes on you, or for you to wipe like the last 3 solo guys did and waste everyone's time with your atma of the apoc reraises for eternity.

If my LS is there @ briareus over next couple of days, offers on the table. "Asking" is an amazing thing instead of everyone fighting and rushing and getting all useless drama like how carabosse usually ends up.

Does this mean rush to make 50 sets and come so I'll do the work for you? absolutely not!

Yea I agree. Bria is a pussycat. Duo easy on MNK/WAR with a WHM/RDM. Getting red on the prerequisite NMs can be annoying. Hell they are harder to tank also to be honest.

i'm camping shouts, but no luck so far. guess i'm online at the wrong times =)

just go wait at the pop spot, not many shouts since mostly Linkshells do it for weapons

Yeah I think you are. When I was helping friend do kannagi there were usually 2-5 groups of people in la thiene farming some part of that. Only thing that didn't make it completely suck is if someone was we could always switch up between briareus pop nms or there pops or cara for me

Could just find a friend... I'm half certain that any job that can tank can do so with limited healing. Heck I'd do it right now if I was on that server since I think I'm going to make almace lol

Kese, i may hit you with a tell if on tonight doing it. I am returning player new to server and could really use the atma. I wouldn't want anything but the atma. Been looking forever for shouts for RR, VV or MM and see nothing. Stout arm may be as close to VV that I can get for a while. I'll send a tell once I get on tonight to see if you are still fighting this mob.

Anyone in this thread have any properly working tips on soloing briareus and his KIs? ive heard a few, but in case of some different ideas im curious ^^

NIN/DNC, proc red, kill ***? If you're feeling adventurous can do Adamastor, possibly Pantagruel, and Briareus NIN/WAR with cruor meds. NIN/THF for Bri might be doable, would certainly give you a better chance at 2x helms.

EDIT: I expect THF/NIN could handle Briareus easily enough as well.

Unless you want to go insane, don't farm the triggers without TH, so you'd want NIN/THF (assuming NIN is your only job) and stockpile a load of triggers with TH. After that, kill the pre-triggers on NIN/WAR for greatest red chance and Briareus either drag someone out with you (can't be too hard) or find some way to do it NIN/THF!
