I have been trying to do Research into which is the best body piece to use for my ninja I cant quite nail down the best choice to use. And I would greatly appreciate everyone input on the subject. Here are the current bodies I have and am wondering in your opinion which is best and why

While I have observed many ninjas wearing the AF body in NQ and +1 I have also observed just as many wearing the AF3 +1 and +2. On stats and debate on the DW effects for the AF vs the DW Bonus on the AF3 I have also asked a few ninjas I know who actually have these pieces and their split in half. Compared to those who so and so says this and I ask them what they wear and their wearing the pink ranger top. So when in doubt come to the internet get the groups thoughts. those who dont ask questions wander in darkness. me peronally im currently wearing the AF3+2 with the +2 pants and boots.

Assuming you have reached the 80% weapon delay cap. I would use AF3+2. I havent started working on bodies yet so I dont have the option. Freaking Kannagi taking up all my free time atm.

edit to fix delay cap from 85% to 80%. Crap. I gotta change another pc. of gear.

first one

increased swing speed >>> no increased swing speed, see: haste

with dual marches and haste, i believe iga ningi +2 is to be used over it though, due to hitting the delay reduction cap (dual wield's mechanics are silly, in other words)

koga chainmail is good for claiming dark ixion with stygian ash

that's

it.

If you're capping delay reduction prior to body, second body.

If you're not capping delay reduction prior to body, first body.

Third body is worse than Shura Togi

I always thought the cap was 80%, not 85%, ah well.

I'm sure you just add all your haste and dual wield together to get it. Could be wrong.

1) Convert haste to decimal (i.e. If you have 70% haste, = .7)
2) 1-answer (i.e. 1-.7 = .3)
3) .2/answer (i.e. .2/.3 = .6667)
4) 1-answer (i.e. 1-.6667 = .3333)
5) convert back to %; answer x 100 (.3333 x 100 = 33.33%)

So if you have 70% haste, you need 33.33% dual wield to cap delay reduction.

The .2 from number 3 represents the delay reduction cap of 80%, if you were wondering where that comes from.

This also works the other way if you start with DW and want to see how much haste you need to cap reduction. Follow the same steps and use DW in haste's place in step 1.

You have to know what your haste value is first then you can calculate it. Haste values are going to differ depending whether or not you have haste, marches, samba, etc.

It's 80%

Lol it's a lot sipmler than it looks.

2 of the 5 steps are

divide by 100
multiply by 100

There's only 3 actual math steps.

two of them are subtraction.

1 is division.

Basically walking you through it.

Let's say 50 is my number

(Divide by 100)50/100 = .5

(Subtract from 1)1-.5 = .5

(Divide from .2) 2./.5 = .4

(Subtract from 1) 1-.4 = .6

(Multiply by 100) 100 x .6 = 60

Probably second or third these days since kids are learning faster, but going from my days in elementary, this is equivalent to what I'd have known in 4th grade

umm yea thx for this . even tho i have no id how to reanslate it to me. and to know were your getitng your base numbers and to know how to get my own. i know in gear im at 24% haste until i get +2 head then its 25% haste. and im wearing 3 parts of af+2 atm soo nto be 4 which is additional 6% to Dw + the DM earring +5% to Dw and the unknown value the +2 hat gives to dual wield

basically, you add your haste gear. If you're getting haste? add 15. If you're getting marches, will depend on your bard's gear for the value.

Pretty easy though to determine how much haste you have. Then from there you can determine how much DW you need.

Generally should only have to do this once and just build diff sets for those situations.

Only haste? Use this set

Haste and marches? Use this set.

Etc.

as for the base numbers they were just an example to show you through the math. That base number is all dependent on your starting haste value, then you can follow the steps for it.

so my base numbers are
24% haste via gear
15% haste via haste spell
45% dual weild bing lvl 90 ninja (dual wield 5)
6% Dual wield bonus via AF3+2
5% Dual Wield via Divine might earring.

Ok so that means

24+15 = 39% haste

Base number 39
1) 39/100 = .39
2) 1-.39 = .61
3) .2/.62 = .3279
4) 1-.3279 = .6721
5) .6721 x 100 = 67.21%

So with 39% haste, you need 67.21% DW to cap

45+6+5 = 56, you're not capping, no need to remove DW

Also, just looked it up, DW V is 35%, not 45%, so you're at 35+6+5 = 46%

You're not going to come to the point where you need to think about taking off DW gear unless you have double marches really

With 26% in gear, haste spell, and 21 from marches you still need 48 DW to cap. 35 from traits. 5 from suppa. 5(?) from head. 5 from body. That's 50. So basically you are just going to barely cap in the ideal situation and still only 2% will be 'wasted'. Basically, unless you have a dnc it's still tough to hit the cap.

Marches go higher than 21 once you get the af3 hands w/ march+1 on them. I'd have to look for the exact values. Goes higher again if you get lv 90 ghorn

21.5 w/o hands. 23.5 with. With hands and capped march/gear/haste spell you can cap attack speed with 45.2% DW. Which, of course, is just traits/hat/earring basically.

So in a nutshell (assuming max gear haste and haste spell):

Double Marches w/o gloves/horn: Af1
Double Marches w/o gloves/horn but with dancer: AF3
Double Marches with gloves but no horn: Af3
Double Marches without gloves but with horn: Af3
Double Marches with gloves and horn: Af3 and replace suppa as well probably.

Are you sure hands give 1.5% haste (16/1024)? Not that it matters for this discussion since you would still use af1 w/o them and af3 with them but it would probably be useful information for other calculations.
