But whether you see it as definition 1 or 2, you're still arguing. It's the manner in which these arguments (definition 3 or 4 if you will) are presented that is the issue. This is also what Karu, Wooooo, myself and others were commenting on in our posts on the previous page(s). (I'm not overly sure what Tavlov is commenting on)
For definition #1, you're forgeting the violent part. Thats what i mainly meant, compared to just a discussion.(#2)
My main point is, generally speaking, how people get into
escalated arguments.
The point I was making with the word Eucharist.. it roughly translate's this way. For example, I make the argument that my game is far superior to a game that you love to play. You would therefore take
offense to my statement/belief b/c I sound like I'm spewing superior knowledge and putting you down. Then retaliation occurs.
