WHM Merits? - Final Fantasy XIV Database

It's actually pretty much impossible to test the finer details, due to lag. It is, however, extremely easy to disprove the "50% additive cap" theory that I hear thrown around a lot.

Using everything I listed in the quote further up the thread, normal Cures finish at about 42%. With Celerity, they finish even faster at under 25%.

If there is a 50% additive cap, then my first test should've been at max cast time reduction. Adding more stuff shouldn't have made me cast even faster but it did, and by a margin large enough that it can't just be due to me eyeballing it.

The writing's on the wall. I'm not saying the cap isn't 80%, or even 60%, but it sure as hell ain't 50%.
