... (2 minutes later) ...

"Go, Garuda, back to the skies from which you came!!! <call10>

DIE IN A *** FIRE SMN lol

Yes! And its ALWAYS the SMN's too, omfg i hate ANY word macro, i dont give a ***that you can come up with something that sounds like you're role playing, you're polluting my text stfu idiots!!!!!!

Quoted for re-iteration.............. GAWD i hate that ***

I was in a party a long time ago where the WHM was using macros along the lines of:

Divine Goddess Altana, shine down your blessed majesty and heal these wounds!

Or some such nonsense. Where do people come up with this stuff seriously?

TBH, I never understood WHM's that have party chat in their cure macros...even when it's just "{White Mage}{cure}<t>". In my experience other peeps don't really care what the WHM is doing, as long as they're keeping people alive and hasting, etc.

I'm guilty of this myself though, I have "{Cure III}>Playername" or "{Cure V}>Playername". I think the PLDs I have partied with actually like being notified so their Cure III/IV they started casting after mine can be interrupted and not heal them for 0 wasting their MP. I've seen a few purposely interrupt themselves because of it.

I've never had anyone say its annoying or to not announce it. *shrug* The only time I can see it being annoying is if the person I'm trying to cure is out of range and I spam the macro multiple times trying to get it off. But then again that annoys the piss out of me also =)

The only one I have and I think is acceptable is a pulling macro. I have it set as a differnet macro next to my ranged macro because A. I hate when they are out of range it it spams, and 2. I macro in RACC rings.

My pull macro does not actually pull, its just 1 line of party chat that says <t> {Found it!} {Help me out!}

Yeah that's what I meant by having it on a different macro.

Ya, seeing:

<t> {Found it!} {Help me out!}<call10>
...move a little closer...
<t> {Found it!} {Help me out!}<call10>
...move a little closer...
<t> {Found it!} {Help me out!}<call10>
...move and interrupt your aim...
<t> {Found it!} {Help me out!} <call10>

Is annoying. I keep mine separate for that reason, too.

I play on 360 so its a lot easier to do that than on PC.

Half the time I'm not ready to shoot yet.

My RA macro is ALT+1, so much easier than navigating through the menus. I keep a separate pull macro on the other side of the pallet so I don't accidentally hit it more than once. If I interrupt my aim on the pull or its too far away, ALT+1 go go.

You people do know that /ra is already setup as ctrl D when you start right?

Actually, I didn't know that...but I couldn't use it anyways, I need to have a safety gear swap in the beginning to remove my Smart Grenade. If I ever throw that thing I'm gonna lose my mind lol

EDIT: And yeah, I use Gkeys, 1 button macros FTW ^^

I never use any of the pre-defined hot keys ever. CTRL+D is a lot less comfortable position for me to keep my hand in than ALT+1 also.

I play with a controller on 360 and PC since I started on a console and that's what I am used to. Plus CTRL+D doesn't swap in my rings.

I do a
/ra
/wait 3
/p Incomming.

If the ra fails I can keep pressing the macro every 0-2 seconds until it works, and the announcement won't fire until I leave it alone for 3 seconds.

Camping the guild NPC after the holiday to get decent prices, only to click ~20 seconds after the shop opens to things 20x the base price.

(Guild Prices do reset after holidays right?)

I have Curing Waltz chat macros for my DNC. I never used to but I set them up for Dynamis. My waltzes go off before Cure spells do so there were WHM wasting MP curing the person I just cured, so having a macro made sense.

Yes I am. Why wouldn't I swap in the rings every shot when I can?
