You are probably right. I still don't think wishing people would take care of their children counts as rage xD but everyone does have pent-up feelings. I suppose mine come out here more often than not because I don't really feel like I can talk to my friends and family about a lot of the stuff that ticks me off. I would possibly be disowned if my parents knew about my religious and political feelings, and I've hid my views on other sensitive topics for a long time as well.
I have been getting more open about some of the issues I feel strongly about on facebook, such as gay marriage for example, and yesterday had the first serious fight I've ever had with my dad over it because now he knows what I actually think on it. I'll be legally/officially changing my first name later this year, and the only people in my family who I've been brave enough to tell that to so far are my biological mother, my dad, and my sister. My brother, stepmother, and entire extended family have no clue. And there are still loads of feelings on sensitive issues in my life that I do feel like I need to still keep under wraps, such as abortion views for example. If I didn't have so many homosexual friends that I cared very deeply for (most of whom I met here actually), I would probably still be hiding my feelings about that too.
You can only hide what you feel for so long before it has to bubble out somewhere, I suppose. :/

Are you changing your name to a symbol? Should we start calling you the Artist formerly known as Liela?

I was named Stephanie after my father, but my Mom wanted to name me Jessica. The simplest answer is that I think my Mom should have won that fight just because I like the name Jessica better.
The long answer is that I always kind of felt like my parents wanted a boy. A girl named for the father instead of the mother, the fact that my nickname was Stevie instead of Stephie, and the fact that I personally just don't think the name Stephanie sounds very feminine. Not to sound like a total hipster, but it's also a very common name. I don't think I ever had a class where I was the only Stephanie, not to mention the several guys I know named Steven/Stephen and one named Steffen.
I like the sound of Jessica better, I like the meaning of Jessica better (Stephanie means crowned. Crowned with what, a frying pan? I don't want to be a princess. Jessica has different meanings depending on what source you look at. One is foresight, one is God's sight, another is God's grace. Whatever, they are all better than Princess.) And the origin of Jessica kind of hits home. So far as I know, it was first used by Shakespeare in the play "The Merchant of Venice." Jessica in the play was raised one religion, didn't agree with it, ran away and eloped with her boyfriend of another religion, and was cursed by her father because of it. Sounds a bit familiar xD except I didn't elope and I didn't also steal all my father's money like Shakespeare's Jessica did.
On top of all that, I've just simply never liked to be called Stephanie. I've disliked the name since forever, and insisted that people call me something else, anything else. I was called by my maiden name through most of middle and high school, and my siblings call me Sis, Shrimp, or Shorty. My friends almost never refer to me as Stephanie unless they are introducing me to someone. Depending on their accent, I am Steph or Staff. (Not that Steph or Staff are much better than Stephanie, honestly.)

I'll be keeping the female gender, but I don't mind if I'm called Jess. That's typically a boy name, but it doesn't feel like "why couldn't you be born male dammit" every time I hear Jess like it did with Stevie. Since Jessica was my mother's name of choice for me, it also just kind of reminds me of her. I lived most of my life without her, and I'm angry about that, and having a name that reminds me of her will be soothing, I think.

Yeah, I'm just pointing out we are drifting across the weird line here. I'm not saying there isn't a basis for it... Someone still might try to put the net on her.
I have friends with names like Trash and Boom and Scum but they never changed their names to that legally....I don't think. and 2/3 of them are completely insane.
come to think of it idk what their real names are even...

As long as you don't mind I'll keep calling you White Tiger, Queen of the LOL pics.
On a serious note, good for you. It's your name after all. It may as well be something you like. I heard what my parents wanted to name me and I'm glad they didn't.

My brother, stepmother, and entire extended family have no clue. Don't let this part bother you, it might seem like a big deal but nothing about you changes, your still Liela. Everyone has multiple names anyways, for example I've been called Ted, Tedder, Tedrick, Ina, Aydrian, etc, nobody calls me by my legal name, not even my parents. If they can't see that you are still the same person and think it's a big deal then it's there problem, people should call you what you want to be called.
People who don't use their turn signals till they are half way through the turn then act confused when they nearly run you over grind my gears XD

Well since this is on the front page... I'm at work, listening to a guy talk about how cool he is. Like, when he would attach a trailer to his cruiser (bike) and put his mountain bike on the trailer, then ride the cruiser to a trail, then ride the mountain bike.
Not sure if it's a coincidence, but he's got thick-framed glasses on, gauges, a scruffy beard, and he is wearing a faded graphic t-shirt.

My gears have been totally grinded (ground?). So I started a game of Crystalis on my NES emulator on my DS because I've never beaten it before. I've never used the actual save function in the game, just save/load states and rewind/fast forward. From playing a few other games I set the select button as save state and X as load. For Crystalis I left it like it was even though select is the button you open/close your inventory. Never really saw it as a problem because I could always rewind if made a mistake that I couldn't just reload past. So anyways, I get to the Boss Mesia. I couldn't do any damage. Every time I changed weapons she changed elements so I couldn't figure it out.
Was reading a walkthrough just now and apparently you have to be level 11 to damage her...........................I'm level 10. My save state is in the fight because I changed weapons so much. You can't use the teleport spell in a boss fight. I can't save using the in game save inside the boss fight either. I can't go up or down a screen, and been fighting far too long to rewind to before I entered. So, the game is lost because I can't win and I have no way to get out or go back. RAGE!

My mom insists on giving me portions of food that are beyond my ability and, above all, desire to eat. I hate seeing large amount of food in my plate, it disgusts me.

What truly grinds my gears...? When somebody tries to get your attention across the house and says "hey come check this out". When you respond, "Well what is it?", they respond with "just come look". OMFG JUST TELL ME WTF IT IS!!!
