Being stuck in the office during lunch, and why do people see crappy, greasy pizza as a lunch staple. Bleh!
Because greasy pizza is wonderful. I just recently started getting pizza here at the office. I alsways go and pick it up though.

This is just nasty Pizza Hut pizza. I don't have an iron stomach like when I was a kid, and I think it's just become worse since I steer clear of unhealthy food as a whole now.

Yeah...Once in a while I give into those cravings, but that usually coincides with...Ummm...Well, I don't think I have to draw you a picture...

I think what I'm more pissed off about is my yoghurt, granola, and clementine stash has mysteriously disappeared from the break room. I do prepare for these occasions, but my reserve is gone. >:(

I'm like flavin it's really creepy, like my teeth are self cleaning or something. growing up everyone around me brushed more than I did and everyone got cavities but I have never had one. Maybe it's because even though I've always drank/drinked/drunk massive amounts of pop it's always been sugar free

It's part of the global conspiracy devised by the denture manufacturing cartels and their toothpaste underlings...

It's just like Chapstick. It just makes your lips chappier so you have to keep using it like a fiend.

I use to eat lemons the same way and people would look at me like I was crazy. There were actually periods in my life where I'd go through up to 5 or 6 a day.

My teeth were also a lost cause. I don't even have them anymore.

Mine are starting to feel like a lost cause. :/ I brush, floss, and medicate them every single day and I still get new cavities (even not drinking soda or eating lemons anymore.) And it doesn't help that going to the dentist makes me sick. For the last 3-4 times that I've gone, one shot of numbing medicine isn't enough. I can still feel them drilling. So they have to give me a double shot of numbers, and then I stay numb for 6 or 8 hours, and have a hard time eating during that time because I've chewed on the inside of my cheek before while numb and that's really painful. I really, really don't want dentures. I'm only 25! But if there was a way to get a full set of porcelain teeth or something permanently set in my gums, I'd so do it.
There is a way, it's a process that takes awhile and I'm too afraid of dentists to have it done (I had to have an actual surgery to have mine taken out, at my dentist's recommendation, she managed to get one shot in me before I had the worst panic attack I've ever had or she's ever seen, I passed out and started having seizure like shakes)..

But, what they do is after they remove the teeth, they cut into the gums to expose the bone of the jaw, they insert a piece of threaded metal into each side, then close up the gums, and you heal for like 4-8 weeks, after that time then they'll make a denture like row of teeth with part of the molar missing on each side, they then re-expose the threaded metal piece in the jaw bone and bolt the teeth on, and seal up the molars with something akin to a crown, so there's not like exposed screw. I saw it one of those TV things that are in dentist offices it was showing how the procedure is done. I wanted to get that, but I just can't do it. Trust me you don't want dentures, they're a huge pain in the ***.. Right now, I wish I woulda just kept my teeth, even if they did hurt like hell all the time. I have jaw bone exposed on the bottom and I can't hardly even wear what I have because it's so painful, and I can't afford, nor am I mentally capable of handling going back to have them grind the bone down and stitch it up.

Leila,

My mother had the same problem with her teeth. Like Slip, she use to have lemons with everything. She use to squeeze lemons into carbonated water while we were growing up.

When I was a sophomore in college her teeth were so withered that she had veneers put in.

That stuff also mysteriously disappears after you eat it. I could eat a boat load of that kind of stuff and still have room for a steak dinner afterwards. It grinds my gears cause I try to eat healthy, but I never feel satisfied afterwards so I go and shovel down some unhealthy crap too feel nice and full, but then have to go run it all off so I don't look like a lardass. >.>

Meh...It doesn't really take a lot to fill me up. I have to at least have a snack in the morning since I run, and if I take my multi-vitamin on an empty stomach, I feel pukey. Then, I have one regular meal (lunch or dinner) and two snacks through the day.

I think maybe I should eat a little more sometimes since I've had the misfortune of being called anorexic here and there from high school on, but according to my BMI I'm fine.

That sounds terrifying, Slip. But as long as I was knocked out for it... xD Do you know what that procedure is called? Terrifying, but better than dentures for lost causes.

Sucks about your mom's teeth, Zah. :-( From what I've heard, it's really lemons that does it. People tell me that citric acid erodes the enamel, and without the enamel there's just no protection from cavities so no matter what you do, you'll get them. Veneers don't sound too bad. But no 25-year old should have to get them. xD I'm old before my time!

Don't worry about people accusing you of anorexia, Zah. If you feel good and are healthy, then it's really not their business anyways. I've had people tell me I'm anorexic, too, and it's simply not true. We're just scrawny.

Ahhh, yeah Pizza Hut is scarce around these parts.

I think I got what the cravings coincide with but honestly I might still be lost lol.

I believe the body seems to get used to norms. like if you eat healthy good for a year your body gets so used to it and nothing else that it's defenses against garbage food would be non existant and eating just fast food for a week would near kill you. so it makes sense
Not true at all for me. I go from periods of eating healthy to eating garbage all the time without any change.

Dental implants.

The worst part is your gums keep trying to grow over top of the screws and you gotta have them scraped back down.

I don't believe it! lets see your teef! : p

If only I had a camera!

They're not perfectly straight but they're not unstraight either if you see what I mean. Never had braces or anything (they're not common over here); they're more or less white but not completely perfectly so and my canine teeth are longer than they should be and so I look somewhat vampiric at times :)

I figured you had your fair share of the RL DNC stigma!

I feel fine about it now, but it used to get to me when I was younger.

The last time it happened it was two years ago. One of my friend's wives (who is the width of a frigerator) felt the need to say something, while stuffing her face with various ballpark foods. I basically chanted, "Don't say ANYTHING!"

It probably would have become a free-for-all if I jumped in with, "Your husband has been cheating on you! He *** Macy on the balcony last night while you were passed out! He also cornered me at Happy Hour two months ago! What up?" I still need to learn when to bite my tongue. Glad I did that time though. It was nice when everything came out in the wash though. So refreshing!

Oh, there's no doubt she knows now. His assistant use to swing by their home, and she stumbled in on them. He's now the President of Marketing. They're on their second kid. I think she'll forgive infidelity for her husband's $100K+ paycheck. :/ Oh! Yeah...His dad is a Dellionaire too. She's not letting go.

You know what doesn't grind my gears? Being able to unload this kind of BS on AH! Too much crap that I need to keep my mouth shut about IRL.
