Dear Blus,

I have the bluemage blues; I've been trying to level blue lately but its hard getting invites due to Abyssea-crack. Suggestions would be great because even at level 47 I'm impressed with this job and want to take it up all the way.

Well you have a couple of options. First, you could deck yourself out in some really good Lv.37'ish gear and look for a party in East Ronfaure (S) where most people camp for Colibri.

And if you don't want to do that, then you could always seek and just say that you'll accept a sync party from anyone Lv.20+

The only other option is to do Fields of Valor. Beaucedine, Yhoator, Behemoth's Dominion, Zi'tah, Xarcabard, and even West Altep (if you're up for a challenge) would be good places to go at your level.

By the time you hit Lv.60 or so, Campaign makes a pretty decent way of earning experience points while looking for parties. And by Lv.65 to 70 you should be at least somewhat capable of getting invited to an Abyssea party.

Hardly anybody does the first two options anymore, and most of those who do are horrifically gimp. I stopped seeking between Abyssea parties on the various jobs I've burned when I realized that I could not only keep my skills closer to cap by soloing, but I'd inevitably get better EXP/hr than an average sync party in the process. Campaign poses a similar problem because while you can solo imps in the low 60s, you can't reliably solo anything else til you're already eligible to EXP (non-leech) in Abyssea, and there's not many people to leech off of in Campaign anymore.

That said, you forgot the real (non-Abyssea) winner: pet camps.
