angels give humans super powers to duke it out.
each time they beat another person with powers they gain one of their special "talents"
If they harm a non-power user they lose a talent.
Along with certain limiting conditions for their powers like for example there's this one guy that can turn a towel into a sheet of steel but can only do it when he's holding his breath.
also if you by chance lose all of your "talents" since they quantify in this anime you are supposed to cease to exist.
most people have a bunch of talents but the main character floats around 10.
kind of interesting if you ask me.
cliche of course, but interesting as a shonen.
