According to wiki the crit rate bonus from lvl 80 Ragnarok and Scourge aftermath is aproximately 25%. Assuming the crit rate III bonus on the lvl 85 scourge is at least a 5% increase that puts war in range for 100% crit rate with atma of the raging ruin (50) ; claymore grip (3); ravager's mask +2 (3); Hachiryu haramaki (5); 4/4 crit merits (4); the 85 rag + scourge aftermath (30); and the natural minimum crit rate (5)
Assuming theres no cap on crit rate, would it be worth it to have this full time mighty strikes? I'd prolly fill the set out with Timarli dastansas (4 haste) ; ravager's calligae +2 (5% haste and increased crit dmg); Ravager's Cuisses's +2 (DA+5 haste 7%); Bullwhip belt (7% haste); Blitz ring (1% haste); Brutal earring (5% DA); Cavaros Mantle (crit dmg up); and aesir ear pendant
And add in Atma of the Sanguine Scythe (more crit dmg up)

Thanks to ToMs Ragnarok has risen from the lolRelic pit and begun its climb towards becoming one of the best relic weapons on game.
However you should not try and stack that much crit hit rate with gear because you basically sacrifice several other aspects of meleeing, such as capping Haste, achieving a X-hit build etc. WAR can't use tiercel necklace btw

thanks for the info on tiercels i changed it. well the set seems to have plenty of acc, its 2.4? shy of haste cap and doesnt have much in the way of stp. but seems like the guaranteed crits doing massive dmg per hit would outweigh the "sacrifices"

Wouldn't really have to gear for dex or + crit that much since with full cruor buffs and the dex from atma itself will put your dex pretty damn high
I was curious as to what kind of WS builds people use for Scourge... never really seen a Scourge war or drk in action

I really wish they had given rag a better WSs. CHR and MND mods are *** for a greatsword when Kaiten and so many others get 60% STR.

The Relics are superior for "non DPS purposes" where as the Empyrean (And in most cases, the Echo version) can beat the DPS quite conclusively. But beating an Apoc build hinges on having enough haste (as low as 22%, but I'd say 24% for a more generally acceptable position) to lessen that Aftermath gap. From What I understand about Ragnarok, using the Weapon Skill "Scourge" is actually quite detrimental to your overall dps, with the exception perhaps of having Atma of the Razed Ruins, but it certainly is the case w/o said Atma. That's pretty scary, given that Spharai's losing by 10-30%... then again, they all seem to be losing by a sizeable margin.

Scourge needs to have those mods changed to STR and INT, and get a Cratio bonus like spinninglash/Groundstrike.
