Kingdom Hearts WTF

Okay so I recently finished Terra's story on BBS and watched the endings for Aqua and Ventus and now I am like... huh? about the whole thing. Here is what I think I understand...
Terra got body snatched by Xehanhort, but is mind and/or heart remained behind in his armor which is the armor you fight in KH2FM, so now Xehanort/Ansem/Xemnas/Terra'sbody gives up on the X-blade in order to pursue the Kingdom Hearts...
Aqua got her *** trapped in the Kingdom Hearts somehow, I remember Riku was there once but he got out but I don't remember how he did it (been a while since I played KH1+2). I know Aqua wasn't there during Riku's visit, or at least he didn't see her so maybe she is out somewhere...
(This is where I get really confused)
The whole Ventus/Vanitas/Roxas/Sora thing. From what I gather Vanitas was created from the darkness that was ripped out of Ventus' heart. During the final battles of BBS Ventus and Vanitas get merged, but since Sora's heart is in there I would assume that is why the Ven/Vanitas looks like Sora. After the fight or during the fight, in order to protect Ventus' heart Sora takes Ventus' heart into his own for the time being, leaving Ventus as a heartless sleepy head in the castle of oblivion. Later on when Sora becomes a heartless he actually had two hearts in his body, one being Ventus' heart. I think that this is why Sora is not lost to the heartless and also why "Sora's" nobody aka Roxas, looks like Ventus and not like Sora (I am saying here that I believe that Roxas is actually Ventus' nobody and not Sora's, and that Sora only lost the part of his heart that was used to fix Ventus' hencewhy he was able to continue fighting on as a heartless, because he actually still had most of his own heart).
At least that is what I think or understand so far.
And Axel is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SEXY.

The storyline is sooo hard to follow. I'd have to replay all of them to understand it. (I've only played KH 1, 2, and the Rikku story from the DS)

Yeah the story made kinda sense in KH 1+2 but now with this I just don't know who is who is who is who lol. People melding hearts and becoming nobodies and all that, it's pretty crazy.
Also if anyone played that 358/2 days, does that game have any story that is important or helps make sense of anything or is it just a spin off?

358/2 Days is important to the story, it gives Roxas a back story, giving his character a lot more depth and meaning. It explains why Riku has taken the form of Ansem and sheds more light on the Organisation's plans.
But bloody hell if they manage to tie it all together in KH3 those guys deserve a damn medal cause they've opened so many potential plotholes and developed so many characters that it will be tough to tie up all the loose ends.

I stopped following the story after KH2. Honestly at this point I feel like it's just Gay Guys with Emotional Trouble: Disney Final Fantasy The Fan Fiction: The Game.
That's not to say they aren't fun, I just personally can't play them for the story anymore. That's why I was excited when I read that FFVersus13 was supposed to have a similar combat system.

well hopefully KH3 will have something that will tie everything in together. After all in the KH3 preview video Sora mentioned something about putting back everything that is connected to him.
My hope is that he will fix Ventus/Roxas and maybe save Aqua from the Kingdom Hearts and find some way to bring Terra back.
It would be cool I think if Aqua as the last remaining "official" Keyblade Master were to reopen the Keyblade school or whatever you want to call it.
Also I forgot to mention above that Eraqus is also in Terra's heart apparently, but I don't know how/if that could come into play later.
Either way I want to see Auron kick some more *** in KH3 and for Cloud to hopefully stop being an emo *** ***.

I understand it a little. You summed it up pretty well. :p Riku was closed in Kingdom Hearts but seems to be 'rescued' from it during his stay at Castle Oblivion. Doesn't really explain how he got there either... was more like "*poof!* here ya are! :D". This does explain though what "Ansem" (KH1) was after though. He wanted that awesome looking keyblade...oh excuse me x~blade. :p Btw, did anyone else think Mickey's outfit in this game looked better than any of his others throughout the series?? >>
This game explains the following: How the heartless came to be. Why Sora was chosen by the Keyblade. Why Roxas looked the way he did. (He didn't look like Sora that much.. not compared to other Nobodys) How the worlds were connected. (The Forbidden Pathway was opened) Who the other Organization XIII members were before. (Too bad Isa turned into more of an *** than a Nobody! xD) What Pete was doing before he joined Maleficent. :p
And Sora was like 5 years old when this was going on.. so its weird how he grows up to look like Vanitas...

every KH since KH2 has been SE just milking KH for money. They havent gone forward with the story since 2006, its all backwards. If you think about it, any game can do that an unlimited number of times. Its really just shameless milking.

I liked KH1 and KH2, I thought the game boy one was boring. Wanted Kairi to get a keyblade. :3 Haven't played any others as they are on consoles I don't own. :{

So only has it for like 10-20 seconds at most, and then it just vanishes. With everything going on I wouldn't be surprised if you missed it.

Haha, well I think I was in HS when I played it. Few years ago. T_T It did seem like KH2 was a bunch of nothing then some stuff at the end. I liked KH1 the most. :3

in KH1 the story was intriguing, in KH2 they ruined it by adding a ton of Organisation XIII idiots wearing tight leather. But then of course the fangirls ate it up so they ran with it. and here we are with mediocre characters and a mediocre series.

The updated characters were nice in KH2, but I felt like magic was totally useless. I thought KH1 had a little more strategy to the fights. Maybe I'm wrong. ;)

Only use for magic really was if you were on a form, because it gained a huge boost then.
