I hate this frikkin DL... 6 more hours until the big patch file is done DLing. And it's from krizz's website.
<_<; I downloaded both files in like, 5 seconds. You have some bad ISP. Lol
The big file is 4.7GB. I highly doubt you got that in 5 seconds. >.> :Edit: YOU NINJA-EDITED! Q_Q
That download took me 20+ hours, it was awful. I wish I had known about Krizz's site first >.<

blah. looks like BFG is going under... can't find any place selling there nvidia 460+ cards.. realy not much past what i have... thats probably why they put a lifetime warntee on my card is because they won't have to warry about replaceing it. *guilp*

BFG stopped doing ANYTHING Nvidia when Nvidia announced their 400 series -- BFG weren't making profit as Nvidia were being greedy and selling the chipsets too high.

well that blows. i liked that company. any other suggestions for good solid brand with good warntees and reliabilities? was thinking maybe asus

I was born in South Korea. ^^ I currently live in Michigan. In BFE to be more exact. I was lucky to get cable internet here. Haha.

Not sure, I'm still using my trusty BFG 8800GTS 512 OC!

I like ASUS for mobos, but I've had 2 ATI/Asus gfx cards and the fans died on both after a few months of each (though, this was way back in AGP days).

I don't think Asus do Nvidia gfx? I could be wrong, but I would maybe try an MSI Nvidia card.

So is it worth using BR mode and spamming ability and G on the keyboard for the duration of the fight? lol.

Pending the actual increases, power of BR-based abilities, possible added effects, and skillchain/MB options(Assuming there are any) it very well could be. Granted, it would likely take several swings to get TP(pending costs) meaning you wouldn't be chaining BRs so much as setting them up when everyone is ready.

As it stands, though, it seems like it'll be used primarily for tough, planned out fights(Bosses and the like).

Never mind, Asus DO... do Nvidia cards, I would opt for those or MSI (both mainboard brands) other brands like "Point of View" which sound tacky imo.

I hate their mobos, they're terrible (in my experience), I don't know about their gfx though.

Things might be different on those larger-than-man crabs further north.

I meant the latest Gigabyte MoBo's...the older ones are useless for today's technology.

Setting up an i7 with Nvidia GPU and Gigabyte Mobo is the other route I would take if I felt like spending money to make another computer.

Asus seems to focus more on AM3 socket technology that AMD uses while Gigabyte focuses more on Socket 1366 that Intel uses.

This notebook was the first ASUS product I had ever bought. I'm absolutely sold on it. This thing has been an absolute dream since the moment I bought it. Not a single problem and its quite possibly the quietest one I've ever owned. Even while under heavy use it remains quiet and temps are very well maintained.

(Sorry slightly off-topic.)

We already figured out that there is maintenance and all the servers are down so off-topic doesn't seem to matter anymore for now at least.

Peaceful conversation is hard to come by on most forums so this is a good change of pace.

Also: I should have left like 15 minutes ago...so going to leave for real now :/

Oh noez! Da doooooooonz!

If I can ever get on with another melee, I'm gonna mess with the Regimen more and see if TP moves can chain. Higher level skills and/or BR Skills might be required, but it'll be fun to die some more.

Their focus on the AM3 is because of the backwards compatibility with older Athlons (AM2+ CPUs slot into AM3, vs Intel who make a new socket with every new series).

But I have my eyes on the 1090T so... it's your call lol :)

Both folders in question on mine are empty, as the updater consumes the file when it unpacks it.

If you take a moment to check the URLs on Krizz's site, you will see:

http://tehkrizz.net/Gaming/FFXIV/bca2a8ae/H2010.08.04.2000.patch

This file goes into the bca2a8ae\patch folder.

http://tehkrizz.net/Gaming/FFXIV/d96437e6/D2010.09.02.2001.patch

This file goes into the d96437e6\patch folder.

You could always ask nicely if Krizz could separate the links by folder, when he's had his beauty sleep.

I'm not 100% as I was installed the Beta after the Alpha closed.

You can always download the Open Beta files, drop them into the appropriate folder, and run the update. If it starts downloading additional files, then stop it and download all the Closed Beta files.
