Started Bronze 5, after a LOT of games I finally made it out. Zyra mid made this possible, 20-4.

grats! I don't care what other people say, I've been in Bronze IV personally and bronze sucks. It does get better from here on out just don't expect a huge jump in "good" players in silver :p
though the amount of afkers/trolls should go down. good luck as you advance onward!

sup??? You can buy tier 3 runes at 20.
Runes will improve your "play", but it may be more fun to just buy champions

so the best are available @ 20? Yeah, after level 20 you can get the best runes. I really wouldn't recommend spending your IP on runes.
I have an account on both. I'll hop on in a bit if you want to play You're still a lowbie so I think it'd be more fun to just have more champions. It's up to you.

Most runes have a flat bonus that tends to drop off later in-game (much like certain flat bonus mastery selections) but I personally think they are critical in securing an early-game advantage.
At the very least, your opponents will likely be spending IP on runes to get that same early-game impact (if only for aiding last-hitting, armour or magic resistance against harassment, etc.) so I'd suggest doing the same. :/ EDIT: Oops, two vets just chimed in with the opposite opinion, please disregard my point, I guess. :p

i went straight into runes, but i had a champed i played religiously. it's really up to you. there's no wrong way to go.

your way is horrible. no point in playing champs without runes to make them work properly! buying champs is dumb, lease them!

I'm still not sure what I want to do, but at least I've got a better idea. I just haven't really found a champ outside of darius, garen, or ashe, so I'm starting to rack up what I thought was a lot of IP until I hear #'s like 28k being thrown around, hehehehe but, again, thanks all. & hell ya spence, I'll be on later if you're bored, gonna eat first. maybe 30-40 mins You play Fiddlesticks, your opinion doesn't matter! You could set up an AD page which is cheap AD reds, armor yellows, scaling MR blues, AD quints You could use this for top, jungle, mid on an AD assassin, and ADC -- Not 100% ideal, but it works Alternatively, you could go with a AP page Magic pen reds, mana regen yellows, scaling AP blues, AP quints
