Most NMs in Abyssea have a really high drop rate. Go in, kill the refresh gloves NM, get drop 80% of the time. Takes roughly 15 minutes. Same with every other NM. Almost everything in there has a high drop rate except the JSE stuff and you don't need more than a party for most of the stuff. Sounds casual to me.

Are you blind? You can kill most NMs with a small group and high drop rates and awesome items. Where is the problem?
Edit: I rather do abyssea with a few friends, kill a few NMs, get tons of drops than go to salvage and rarely get a drop. Why would someone still do salvage seriously. Dunno about other sets but Morrigan hasnt been the best for awhile and now its even more outdated.

Majority of people wahhed about Salvage going to be outdated when 80 hit, and almost nothing got replaced. Do you really think parts of the same expansion will massively outdate gear they just released? Maybe the AHable stuff, probably few r/ex items since most are situational. Plus, the later Abyssea expansions would likely be able to be played casually.

When I do abyssea with my ls, we exp for 5+ hours and then use our excess time to kill nms if we have a good setup, but the focus is fully on exp since almost everything can be lowmanned. Nothing casual about it... it's screwing with our sleep schedules :(

2 pieces of salvage gear are not outdated : usukane hands & body. 75->80 made 99% of the current top endgame gear no longer top, so obvisouly the same will happen at 90 and then 99. You need to be seriously dumb to believe otherwise. And it's not only abyssea, gear also drops outside of abyssea.

Im not transforming it. Im just saying that Abyssea is mostly casual cuz low repop time of NMs, high drop rate, dont need many people to kill them. Just because a few things are hardcore in there doesn't mean that all of it is hardcore.

Salvage and Abyssea both have a Set time limit. So I fail to see how a Hardcore player can get more then a Casual one. (if your doing NMs your not getting TEs) Its based on the group you have. 18 casuals vs 18 hardcore doing nms will get pretty much same thing done. Hardcore doesn't get more stones.
As for Exp. Please show me where else you can log on, get a group and get decent amount of exp in 2hrs.
Its really stupid to complain about being casual and not being able to get stuff. In every game the more you play faster you get stuff. Just because you play less doesn't mean you can't get the same ***. just takes more time. like everything else in life.

I understand your thought process, but you're wrong. Casuals are generally stupid, slow, or don't follow directions properly. A getup of hardcore players will accomplish exponentially more than a group of the same size of casuals.
After reading a lot of posts on different websites like ffxiah, alla, BG on abyssea, a lot of people consider abyssea the event "that everyone was waiting", especially "casual" players, whatever that means.

* I checked the requirement for Verethragna, the empyrean H2H :
It requires 50 "Two-leaf Chloris Bud" ; this drops from "Chloris", an abyssea NM with unknown drop rate, not 100%. Requirements for popping Chloris are 4 key items :
*Veinous Hecteyes Eyelid => requires killing "Olphanim" not 100%
*Torn Bat Wing => requires killing "Treble Noctules" not 100%
*Gory Scorpion Claw => requires killing "Hedeteted" not 100%
*Mossy Adamantoise Shell => requires killing "Chukwa" not 100%
olphanim requires 3 "rare" items : "Bloodshot Hecteye" "Shriveled Wing" and a "Shriveled Pincer" - which themselves drop from either normal mobs or NMs that requires another item to pop. Hedetet and treble noctules work the same. Chukwa doesn't require pop (key) items.
Poping just *one* Chloris seems like more of a headache than poping a tier4 ZNM or the tier4 VNM, and you need 50 of its drop (hopefully 100% drop rate), making the difficulty to get the item much longer than getting a pandemonium warden drop.
How is this casual ? Did SE really manage to make us pay 10$ for a retardly time consuming event. It's not like Chloris is the only NM looked after, as there is one equivalent for each weapon it seems, and there a lot of other NMs dropping gear.
Did we really get an event 10x more cock blocking than Salvage ? Doing NMs in abyssea is not exactly the same as normal exp, you will quickly consume your time and be only able to enter once every few days alla dynamis/limbus.
