Perfect Counter (MNK Lv.79 Ability Delay: 1 min. Effect Duration: 30 sec.)
Allows you to counter the next attack directed at you.

How useful is this going to be for monk overall. I think that if you can enter salvage at level 80 it might be great for monk tanking their or even soloing.

This ability is going to be crucial/awesome. activate this ability right before u cast ichi and theres no way u will be interrupted. MNK as a tank just got a whole lot better

That's true i never thought about that. It may be used like Sam/Nin uses third eye right before ichi or ni and with the time limit of 1 minute Monk should be able to tank much better now.

ahhh i see this as mnk/sam ... frankly with perfect counter down for 30 seconds your third eye can buy you time ... and if your guard skill is high enough you've got heavy dd and low dmg intake.

It's an awesome awesome ability, MNK survivability just got a hell of a lot better.

ALSO! I think a seigan like ability may come out for it, seeing as perfect counter has the same timer as third eye.

My initial reaction to Perfect counter was thinking of it like an Oh sh- button for casting Ichi, but then someone pointed out that if you get a natural counter with PC up it stays on and you get an additional counter.

So pair PC up with Counterstance and you have essentially a high risk/reward version of Seigan/TE where you can do damage by countering hits in succession in exchange for having your def lowered to next to nothing. Once PC wears you drop counterstance to avoid pain (or keep it up with shadows /nin). The problem is it can't block some enemy WS like TE, and if you get hit by one it'll hurt >.>

Now we just need Counterstance cooldown lowered to 1min like seigan...
