so left saturday morning, we picked up grandma and my uncle, crossed the border and headed down south, taking a coastal route, and around midway trough we took an ascending route inland, along the edge of some small mountains.
About 5-10 mins into this 2-laner road, we come about an incoming cyclist, and this truck tried to get ahead of them using our lane, in a blind curve, barely managing to get out of the way.
*** ***.
we arrived to this restaurant, had a late breakfast, dropped uncle and grandma at their hotel, then we went to ours.
we arrived at the church 30 mins before the appointed time, wedding was supposed to start at 5pm, but it was still locked and closed. the priest had the key, so people... the groom and family. decorators, musicians, photographers, guests showed up.... and the priest arrived 10 mins late...about 10 more mins of setup and the wedding was underway.
after that we headed toward the reception. a small building for these kinds of events on top of a small hill, surrounded by grape plants, we stayed in the lobby, and about one hour and 6 sangrias later, we where lead toward our tables.
I dont know if I was supposed to be annoyed or grateful that, my family and grandma got to share a table with some random people, while the rest of the family (except the family of the groom) got sat down in their own table, a little more VIP ish.
4 sangrias later, they start serving food, paired with 2 cups of Ruby Cabernett. after dinner and desert, 3 more sangrias.
tried straight rum, but didnt even finish my cup of it.
grandma was dozing off and I was bored, so we took her to her room and then we went to our hotel where I just passed out.
morning after, saw the World Cup :zzzz: on a restaurant at the hotel where everyone but us stayed. ate some cereal. game ended, went home....
....but we took a detour and went south instead, and arrived to Ensenada, port town, and we had a proper seafood and beer lunch, then a 3hr drive back home.

That's *** awesome. I've been eyeing my shotgun for only about 6 years, but then the inevitable hospital or home repair bill surfaces it's ugly head, and I'm right back to bupkis. One day my children when partially fend for themselves, one day....

LIVE from the channel 12 gauge action news team...
it's Hillbilly News... and here is your host, Nikolce /banjo music
My long dormant hillbilly genes have awoken and I recently purchased a Mossberg 500 "Turkey Thug" ( Dumb. /cough Name. /cough) pump action 12 gauge shotgun. my favorite line to the salesman during the transaction was "I don't give a ***what color it is..." when he asked if it had to be camo. *** no. it can be pink with silver sparkle hearts on it I don't give a ***
I wanted something for close range, home defense and excising vermin like the raccoon that tried to claw his way into the rook of my garage, the possum that eats too many pears and then falls on my back deck at 3:00am and meth zombies.
It has a pistol grip, twenty inch barrel with the choke, holds six shells. I have two gripes I will get to later...
For target practice I purchased a case of 250 federal dove and target shells, three boxes of random ammo and two boxes of rubber buck shot for people that refuse to get off my lawn.
then I bought a two cases of bio degradable clay pigeons, $12 a case of all yellows, a thrower and a battery and some other random ***.
but for about $75 in consumables I got a whole day's worth of redneck anger management therapy....
So me and my cousin drove out to a spot on "the land" and went through 294 rounds and 180 clays... another cousin joined us late in the day but I think it was the perfect amount for 2~3 ***. I put roughly 150 rounds through the mossberg and that's about all my shoulder was going to be able to handle even with the pistol grip which helped a lot.
It was pretty *** awesome... I went 5/5 clays a couple times but holy ***do you have to be right on the mofo when you have the shorter barrel, and you got to catch it early coming out of the trap. (first gripe) and the magazine follower is steel on a steel magazine so it's a little bindy? even with some wd-40 it's not as smooth as I would like...I might replace it with a synthetic.
/shrug big whoop.
it was fun. eye strain, sore shoulder, and all...
can still smell gunpowder
