highway 8... ok rule number one is never drive at night
The "Warden message" issued by the U.S. Consulate in Nogales, Sonora, strongly advises U.S. citizens to avoid traveling at night on Highway 8 between the U.S.-Mexico border and Rocky Point, due to unconfirmed reports of fake checkpoints set up at night. The alert tells travelers to remain calm and cooperate if they are stopped at such a checkpoint.
"Reports from those passing through these checkpoints indicate that the operators only requested to see identification before allowing them to pass," the message says. "U.S. Consulate Nogales strongly advises any traveler who must take this route do so during daylight hours."
It goes on to refer to Mexico in general, and not just Highway 8, and says: "Motorists who have not stopped at unofficial checkpoints have been shot at and killed."

Flying to Scottsdale, AZ for work. Thinking about hopping across in to Mexico while I'm there. Any suggestions? Drink a Michelada since it is summer.
I would say some seafood but no, unless you go to a coastal town.
South of Arizona? Puerto Peñasco is a nice tourist beach place to spend a night or 2 if you have time. not really familiar about any other places in Sonora MX. |

I want to address some of you by first name/given name because you're all wonderful people individually. You're all amazing! Best *** people on FFXI, hands down, but I might be bias.
Edit: God damn it! I feel as though there's a long list of the best of the best I'm leaving off here that are note-worthy.

Edit: If it's any consolation, I feel like a jackass in terms of you and LOL serj now. You two, and even going through the BS of intermediary , CS jobs, despite qualifications needs recognition, and you're both judicious and sweet souls.
I need to get off here soon, or I'm going to be singing tunes about a few.

today is dragging on unmercifully... I have my nose to the grindstone trying to make it go faster....to no avail.
somebody that isn't one of us hit powerball on saturday...(I forgot to play again) and now it's back down into the why bother territory.
and so here's a quick story for you
kids are jerks
went to a 16th birthday party saturday for a cousin's kid.
it was at a pool...beer and pizza. feel bad for the kid... she got whacked upside the head by the pizza face express <<zitsplosion>> and she recently quit her volleyball team and all her volleyball friends boycotted the party.
no wonder she quit, those kids are a bunch of ***.
they'll probably *** with her all year now... the ruthless hillbilly *** at my old alma mater would Nair all her hair off...kick her *** repeatedly.... spread a bunch of rumors about her
I would have recommended that she should fake an injury instead of quitting... but I was not consulted... |
