/takes his own advice

SEE!? PROBLEM SOLVED!

If I started having menstrual cramps I think I'd really need to talk to a doctor
How would you know they would menstrual cramps? They do feel different then normal cramps.

I'm assuming that it would come with other symptoms or something

I ate quite a few in my twenties. Never really got headaches though. still don't.
Get the yawns though... oh the yawns, sweats, and the trails...and then the epiphanic moments of clarity and enlightenment then suddenly losing complete train of thought.. huh what was I saying again? I think I need more orange juice.

I'm just a little worried that the cause may be something ironic, like eating gluten

Migraines are *** weird.

Caffeine can be a trigger. But caffeine can be helpful; as you noted, Excedrin and other headache/migraine meds are often paired with caffeine to speed uptake/etc.

Chocolate can be a trigger. Chocolate can help relieve. (Also traces of caffeine in chocolate, for that matter).

Chocolate wafer cookies (like those on Oreos and other similar brands) specifically are a trigger for my wife. But a bit of chocolate bar can help, though not completely assuage.

My brother-in-law also gets brutal migraines and his just are seemingly completely random. Full-on auras, visual disturbances and all. No specific cause he's been able to ascertain in almost 40 years.

Yeah, caffeine has both triggwred and aided my migraines

I think some foods have triggered it as well, but I'm less sure about those

I luckily have not yet experienced an aura with my migraine, but I can't see how essentially going partially blind would help my migraine

Psilocybin is known to do wonders for headaches and headache prevention.

Same here. Just been a busy day. Had a 2 hour meeting this morning and a lot of stuff that popped up at end of day yesterday that I wanted to wade through.

Less than 4 days until I officially start, gotta get a photo uploaded for my security badge and they want me to pre-fill out a bunch of my hiring documentation before Monday.

When I have a headache I use Paracetamol, 1 gram pills (metric go!).
Like I mentioned in another thread tiger balm helps with migraines without having to take pills, it doesnt help for everyone though. But rubbing some beneath your nose and on your head might help.

Secondly, a happy stomach is a happy body, Try altering your eating pattern, you might be amazed what it does to repitive physical nuisances.

Thirdly, I'm no doctor, I just know migraines/headaches suck and I hope they dont bother you to much :)

I haven't tried or heard of the tiger balm thing

I think I probably have one of the more bizarre eating patterns or habits amongst most people in my area, but I'm not giving up the spices damn you

I have gotten used to having them, they suck but having migraines as much as I do sort of taught me how to function (miserably) while having a migraine

Maxalt can be helpful. See a neurologist maybe, especially with that history of head injury.

To be fair that happened about 6 months ago, I've had these migraines and what not for years

Still. Related or not, chronic migraines aren't a joke (as you've related already) and can really *** up your day and the day of those who had plans of doing anything with you, to boot.

-- spoken as the husband and stepson of migraine sufferers, who has cancelled a lot of plans on family's behalf due to migraines. I don't begrudge them that, they can hardly help the issue. But still. For your sake and theirs both.

Yeah I probably should see someone about it

I will say, I don't think I'll have another moment feel as amazing as waking up with no headache after having a mild one for what felt like every moment for a month
