From what I remember (and my memory is complete trash) it wasn't so much because he had anything off the wall, it was more as a definitive way to make sure he had no reason to come back because he was moving forward with his life. The bonus of it making a cleaner record was more of an afterthought.

My posts get deleted all the time...some of them were great. Some of my PM responses to Mods are classics too.

Got a reply to my support ticket, since the system they use has a "mark as solved" button I used it thinking it was just to help close their damn tickets and put notes into it.

Ended up getting another response because I basically said "Saw no actual support intervention, but they said they did something!"

Their response?

"Well there actually wasn't any support intervention, we just stumbled into an already working server."

... Welp, at least I know 100% now that I did it.
