It is somewhat timely you mention that though, Volk, because I was just flipping through the social media hellscape that is Facebook to see what my aunt had said about Thanksgiving weekend plans and saw a picture of my high school buddy with his wife and kids.
And I -- sober and without excuse -- yelled at the picture, out loud, at work, "Luke. Stop turning into Ralph!"
Because that too-busy-to-drink-with-friends honkey is turning into his *** dad. sans-hair and growing big ol' gut and all!

got into a conversation with a few friends this past week. Talking about growing up, moving away and that sort of thing. Kinda shitty perspective on life that you can basically determine how many hours/days someone's going to be in your life after a certain point.
