they sell a clear film you can install on that door window to slow them down breaking into your place... if that's not the only door out I would change the deadbolt to a key on the inside that way they can just pop the glass and turn your knobs to get in

the double back staircase isn't ideal if you use a shotgun...and there is no clear shot on that door... unless you have a window above it in the master. if you're right handed you're ok coming down the first flight but then you're coming down almost backwards to cover the door on the second flight

you and your friends should practice with some laser tag guns but I think they'd have the drop on you as you're coming down that staircase.... even if you slow them down coming in the door... and then you're wide open at the bottom of those stairs...

and write down everything that needs fixed and then check them off one at a time.

Once your inspector provides you with his list, you have to add the two lists together and submit a "buyers request to remedy" which basically says this is all the ***you have to fix before I sign.

grab a roll of blue painter's tape and a sharpie. so if the first item is a hole in the wall in the master bedroom you write #1 on a piece of tape and stick it next to the hole in the wall.

then when you do the final walkthrough you can see at a glance whether or not everything was fixed and the tape comes off nice ans easy without *** up your paint
