Quite right and jolly, old bean. I hope the new year sees you and yours well with many happy returns.

I violently smashed on sheet metal for 8 years, hearing is not my strong suit either.

...ironically. So have I. Probably just a different kind.

What are you? My wife, all of a sudden?

Knows I have left-side hearing loss, always walks on my left out of habit, says something at quiet room volume in a store, wonders why I'm not responding to her addressing me.

I must admit I am normally not a fan of "higher end" coffees. I think they're way too overpriced for what they are.

But I bought a bag of Peet's House Blend whole beans on sale. And I must say that it's quite enjoyable.

*sips coffee*

Now onto the important stuff:

Haven't played console. Did use Fallout 4 mods via the in-game stuff though. It was pretty decent. I prefer Nexus + NMM but for basic stuff it's decent enough.

That said, the only Creation Club mods I get are the ones offered for free. I refuse to pay Bethesda* for mods.

I do donate via Patreon/PayPal/etc. at times to modders from Nexus whose work really enhances my game experience.

I bought skyrim remastered or whatever for the ps4, it's been a ball. I guess we get mods, too? that's pretty weird for a console game, but I can dig it. playing through vanilla again though.

sauerkraut an pork cutlets are legit, otherwise meh on the sauerkraut.

The new years eve was lovely. stayed home, played games with the kids, and got ***-faced on mulled wine. went and saw the star wars movie with the wife and children yesterday, that was funny... what else... bah, that might be it.
Skyrim on PS4 is pretty fun but mods are kinda limited. Something also broke Nordic picks so I have to carry a regular one to mine stuff that isn't stalhrim.

I've seriously debated initiating a guerrilla campaign against the microwave at the office. I decided my ability to come and go as I please makes fleeing the appropriate course of action.

- With pork on New Year for the luckz.
- With sausage when I got to Hofbrauhaus.
- On a Reuben.

That's it for sauerkraut for me.

My mom loves Sauerkraut. ***smells atrocious.

I like it at home in the crock pot.

At work in the microwave, not so much, and it never fails that in Western PA at least twice a week somebody throws some leftover kraut in the microwave and stinks up the whole floor of the office with sour cabbage.

Fine. Continue your unlucky life but when a grand piano falls on you a la Looney Tunes I won't feel bad because I offered you the chance. I offered you the power to turn your life around.

And you spat upon my largess!

Did you try sauerkraut!?

NO!

See what you get for laughing!

THE POWER OF GERMAN SAILORS COMPELS YOU.
I've never eaten sauerkraut.

It's an acquired taste.

I suggest adding half a cup of brown sugar to every 32 oz. package of sauerkraut. Buy refrigerated bags, not jars or cans.

Maybe 2018 will bring you a baby.

That is so highly unlikely that if it were to occur, it would fall under the actual definition of a miracle as defined by the Roman-Catholic Church. Pope Francis would have to canonize my swingin' cod.

I might even be willing to go to confession for the first time in 22 years for that.

Though the padre is going to have to find a comfortable cushion because we'll be there a while.

I'm just hoping for luck in getting a new job. Holidays messed with my search.

I swear, when I was in school there were never enough holidays, now every other Monday is a holiday and everything is closed.

Something about eating them on the 1st of the new year brings luck.

Yeah. For us it's specifically the sauerkraut that's supposed to bring luck. I hated it as a kid but I still was forced to eat at least a couple spoonfuls.
I see it doesn't work.

I have the best wife on the planet.* Great luck doesn't mean universal luck. Go eat your shitty peas.

Kielbasa was always my family's pork of choice for the New Year but pork roast seems to be a bit more common in Pennsylvania. I assume the sausage thing is actually a NY-state thing more than PA.

Thanks, Buffalo.

Also, speaking of Depression Central, the Bills made the playoffs. It was a Christmas'ish miracle!
