Is the complex that busy? I usually just walk in and they have someone show me around after thirty seconds... though I’m currently in a battle with the management company for my new place as they failed to tell me there would be a $20 monthly fee for “pool view” which is just silly... it would have been fine but they failed toactually tell me til I got the bill...

I expect these *** at the management company to be a bit more attentive but once they feel they e got you on the hook... I asked em a simple favor of tallying up my total bill for the totality of the lease as I like to have record of transactions like this from the companies I deal with, and they pretty much told me to do it myself... after a few words they did it for me but yeah the ***...
If they have empty units they'll show you around pretty quick. However if there is still a tenant in the unit they have to, or at least like to, give them warning and allow them time to clean the place up before showing it off so you usually end up scheduling a showing at least 1-2 days in advance of the actual date. Depending on the complex they may also only have certain time slots open as well due to having multiple locations under their belt and only 1-2 people actually able to be on hand for the job.

Overall... I think it's just Iowan mentality that slows it down the most.
Ahh yeah... I failed to think about capacity... you can’t show an apartment if someone’s in There doing god knows what... out here they usually have a model home that they’ve decorated to show off...

Iowa was pretty dead when I was there. It was mostly a John Deere factory a Walmart and that strip joint behind the Walmart...
Yea, that's usually the case in the smaller towns which are pretty much everywhere.

Larger cities, like Iowa City, are a bit more populated. On top of that they're usually home to some kind of college so they're even more crowded than they really should be.

So the complex looks... sorta shitty. But the apartment itself is fine. Saw another apartment at the same price that I'm gonna check out, but it's a sublet so I'm gonna have a ton of questions before I move in.

If that sublet isn't up to standards I'll probably take this one.

One of the apartments I literally found today was able to pencil me in for a showing right after work tonight.

Looks pretty good so far... hoping it still looks good after the showing because I'm 90% sure this is gonna be one of the best ones I look at. lol

I thought alcohol was good for sores because it helps sterilize. That doc sounds like a quack to me.

Also, when a doctor says to drink plenty of clear liquids, he's obviously talking about vodka, tequila, moonshine, everclear, etc.
Have stomach ulcers?

It's actually ghosts haunting your bloodstream. You should do cocaine about it.

adjusting to life without caffeine and alcohol is going to be a real chore.

for how long exactly!?

I do not envy you....I drink about a gallon of coffee a day... I think the withdraw headache alone would probably kill me if I ever quit.

just order PARKER to find out who it was

PARKER couldn't find his *** with both hands...

and as much as I would like to burst into Misao's office and start screaming WHICH ONE OF YOU *** DID IT!? my schedule is pretty full this week... and president cat has wisely chosen to leave his rw work address out of the NI archives...probably to avoid just such a scenario...

I spent... a full 2 days, and part of today building an Access database... and now I find out we don't even need it.

Or since you're president, just order PARKER to find out who it was and make their lives a living hell.

some *** *** piece of ***took my phone charger out of the office.

no it wasnt me who took it, and it was here friday before I left.
so someone came in between fri afternoon or saturday.
they didnt take the cable, just the thing that plugs on to the light socket.

anyone there smoke e-cigs?

if the part they took is one of those black or white two pronged wall plugs with a USB jack someone there took it to charge something other than the same phone you have (or they would have also taken the cable)

also put your name on all of your stuff with a permanent magic marker or paint marker.

Meh, apartment I wanted got scooped up before I could setup a showing.

Found another unit, 2 bedrooms for about the same price... but it's not available until August. :<

BUT! found another one bedroom available in June that's around the same price point and had a pool... that I'll probably never use... but the price is fine!

the opium den could use a few more mattresses and pillows.

giant bean bag chairs I could go for...

but the problem with putting mattresses around is that as soon as PARKER sets one on the ground and turns around there will be a smelly backpacker on it.

you know those college aged kids that take out massive student loans, go to europe, spend it all in the first week on hookers and weed in amsterdam and then they spend the rest of the summer smelling up train stations in france until their parents loan them money for a plane ticket home...

yeah THOSE kids. they smell BAD with like wavey stink lines
