Laptop Suggestions?

Anyone playing xi on a laptop with Windower/GS and getting decent performance? If so, what do you have??

I’ve read that because optimus pushes the game from the discrete card to the integrated one, there really isn’t a way to avoid playing with ashita in lieu of windower if you want decent performance.

What are people doing if they play on a laptop sometimes? Using windower (GS) on their pc and ashitacast on their laptop?

I play on laptop with Amelia's HD texture packs that come with a dx8 to dx9 wrapper that allows my dedicated nvidia Gt 740M to run ffxi.

i can also dualbox with little to no lag outside of cities.

i think so long as umyou have dx8 to dx9 conversion or use dgvoodoo then you shouldn't have any problems on laptop using windower.
