I used to write exclusively in cursive but one of the mouthbreathers in the shop "can't read that fancy stuff" so I started writing in large letters to patronize him (as a joke that he's in on..... even the mouthbreather thing is a joke). After a while it stuck.

Admittedly, I hate cursive. Not cause I can't read it but because being forced in 4th grade to completely relearn how to write may have traumatized me and I think it should only be used for signatures and fancy book covers.
