COR /ra and WS set in old school merit pt
Melee TP set I augmented all the mini expansion reward for ranged and WS(body/legs had rattk+10/+7 and racc+10/+7 augment), until better stuff came out and QD TP update I redo them for JA recast- and MAB augment. My friend often complain that my character doesn't look like a pirate with those items lol. Also spammed boring Campaign for like 3~4 months until I got enough AN and rank for cobra stuff. 1 month later pink set came out and made all the effort in Campaign for nothing ;< (Yes I know there are ppl who spent more time in Salvage for nothing etc, but still want to complain for a bit ;< Campaign is boring.) I'm 5/5 shadow set and it's never been anything more than nice town gear.

That's about what my DRG looked like back when I hit 75 lol, not exactly the best at all I never had any lucky with any homam gear (I seemed to only get in the LS that gave ***to the leaders >.>) I slowly upgraded some things but it really didn't get much better lol. I still kinda want to finish my drg and bring it up to good standards but only have like 3 days left on game time so meh.

Was my TP setup just prior to the 2handed update. At least for great axe. Sub in Suppanomimi and Maneater/joyeuse for dual wield. Sometimes I would polearm at birds. Fun stuff. Prior to turbans and toau and what not... iirc went a little something like this. And I never swapped gear back then @,@; Edit: Just remembered that I hadn't beaten TOAU or it wasn't concluded until the 2handed update, so Ring2 on my TP setup is incorrect. I was so damn proud of my V.Fork. The ls I was in had gotten 5 of them in the 6 months before I joined, several just going freelot. After I joined it took 6 more months of Odin every 2 weeks for another one to finally drop. Most of it has been replaced sadly, but strangely enough a lot of it still gets used (blitz/Rajas/aesir/brutal/love). Edit: Got me thinking about long, loooong ago when I didn't know ***about the game and wore stuff because "oooh shiny!", my gear (fulltime, of course) looked pretty much like this... God I wasn't even a noob, I was a @#$%ing moron. Felt so badass to finally get 5/5 AF, till the parties I was in started putting me in my place. Oh well ¯し(ツ)_/¯ This is inviting Ashman to cry himself to sleep from fits of laughter, but here we go...
I started back in August 08, so im still considered new to the world of FFXI and missed the whole lolDRG phrase (although Ashman may rcall differently!) Old me This was about may 09. Just after getting Drakesbane, which took me a whole bloody 2 months to unlock, getting my lance on floor 5 and never taking it off till I unlocked it. I got alot of lolDRG comments back then. TP WS Then after over a year of trying i finally got askar, homam, and other actual decent pieces of gear. And this is me now, I know i still have work to do so no crap talking. Working on WoTG now for that earring and working on perfecting my 5hit. TP WS All in all alot of work has been put into this and there still alot of work to be done, now that my days arent spent inside dynamis I can finally add the finishing touches to everything. EDIT: ***, while we are at it. This is an oldie, but a goodie. I had been playing for 4 months when this was taken. It was taken by Aluvien and posted on Killing Ifrit, saying after partying with me they had lost all hope in humanity lol. I wish I could remember Draylo's Black Mage and White mage from before the 2handed update and before he moved servers. The last time I remember seeing him was in hMP setup when we were camping Fuma sune-ate together.
