Im going to go out on a limb here and make a couple speculations/assumptions.
First off it cant even do a level 3 skillchain I havent even been able to find a level 2 with it yet than agian i didnt look long for level 2. Seeing the aeful damage and the bad chaining capabilities Im going to have to assume you can upgrade it later in some way more maybe use a certian weapon to make it more useful. Also I think MAB might effect its damage as other new ws are affected by MAB I read (dont remember which ones). Tha agian I got no idea what Im talkign about maybe they intended it to be worse then enpi?

It's situational, but can't complain about having it.
Personally I was hoping for a Slow effect, but I'll take this too. A slow effect would be sooo much nicer... Hmm.. What if you use it shortly before you 2hr? lol Then you can lower it's defense before you do a light sc? Damn... Surely they could have given SAM something more impressive? But as you guys said there will most likely be 2-3 more ws's if not more later on. I guess there is still time.

no real math needed so peopel can take the old "It's situational" comments and thoughts and understand no ther is no situation i would choose it over gekko. If a !! appeared next to the mob, it's weak to that WS. Same goes with spells and job abilities. So there's your one situation where I guess it's useful. I like watching butterflies fly everywhere though. Idk if it's ever occurred to anyone but your personal damage isn't the only thing that matters. If the defense reduction increases your parties damage output by more then your normal WS would, it's better than whatever weaponskill you'd normally use for damage. Anyone bother testing how much of a def reduction it gives? Sounds perfect for zerg really. Even if it's only 5% def reduction (Which it's most likely more, possibly varies with tp) the damage increase the alliance is going to receive will be MUCH higher then what a normal ws from you would have done.

you hit the mob with this and other de-buffs and the party as a whole will dot more no?(for a limited time) i mean heck its not like sam has to wait 2 minutes to build tp to use this now and then >.> too many sam's think about been john rambo than using there brains :(

Not to pick on your comment Ronson, but I'm sure theres a cap on LOWERS DEFENSE!!!, in which a mage should have casted Dia on it already if the situation permits.

Most BRD don't use Requiem because seemingly 75% of monsters in game /RESIST/ it. I use it everytime I can, aside from merit pts (its a waste of a spell to cast every mob, when you could be buffing, or pulling another mob), mobs I know that resist, and mobs I know that will be slept repeatedly. |
