Basicly, I wonder which setup to use for loveberd on birds.
Capped crit:

Or full haste:

Eating crab sushi they both have more than enough accuracy.

I'd use the full Haste.

I say top one. or do bottom one with Wyvern earring instead of fowling earring and sub drg.

Love halbred changes things a bit, as I don't know the DoT/WS %, but w/ Tomoe, before doing any math, I'd put my money on the capped haste, as the haste helps DoT and WS damage, where as the crits would only help the DoT (which is about a 30/70 split w/ tomoe, so yea, the capped crits would only be helping 30% of your damage).

Though, if you were able to get a love torque and Noct mail, you'd still equal the dex of your first build but with your haste build.

Drg sub only worth it for polearm if there's a dnc in the party

Love torque will hopefully be possible in not too long, noct mail on the other hand is harder to obtain =/

But with the torque I'd only need to sacrifice 1% haste for capped crit, think that would be worth it?

And, is loveberd worth it at all? I usually parse better using this weapon over Enget, but seeing how the partysetup is never the same it's hard to say if I'm doing better or everybody else is doing worse.

Edit: I could swap in turban and use spike necklace and still cap crit.. but.. spike necklace D:

Zerk\warcry + you can voke to make the bird face you rather than have it spin in circles before your first ws. :P

Again, depends on the distribution, but if it's 30/70 like Tomoe, I'd doubt it rly. Askar hands would be 5% crit if that's the piece that decides if you cap crits or not. It'd be less than a 5% increase, but we can call it 5. At 30% of your damage

5 x .3 = 1.5% increase.

1 haste easily beats that.

As for love halbred in general, have seen diff maths on it, showing diff results. I haven't mathed it out myself. I don't care to deal with the tp overflow aspect of it.

Because you're not going to have enough haste to beat the benefits of /war w/o haste samba.

I guess the ratio is different than 30\70 but I guess the 1% haste might be better.

I'll play around with it and see how it works I guess.

Because you're not going to have enough haste to beat the benefits of /war w/o haste samba.

So /war with polearm beats /drg with polearm, because:

Warcry/Berserk/Double attack> Jump/ High Jump/acc bonus?

Acc bonus is useless as you should allready cap acc, seeing how most pole-setups need sushi to work. x)

+5% Haste on DRG side too.

That's about the size of it. It really depends on your build prior to looking at the subjobs. The worse gear you have, the better /drg gets in comparision. For example, my build would only get 3 haste from a wyvern earring, where as someone w/ my build, subract vbelt, add swift belt, would gain all 5 points of haste.

Then we look at polearm itself. It doesn't gain a 100% attack bonus like Tachi: Gekko, so zerk is going to be a lot more valuable to a polearm build than it would be to a great katana build.

/WAR gives you more attack, which is what Penta Thrust greatly desires to shine. ACC bonus is a moot point due to any real polearm setup being at capped accuracy.

5% haste in that ear won't make up for the massive amounts of attack you'll be able to add to Penta.

edit: Gdi Tiger.

Tiger, your saying use capped Haste with Tomoe but doesnt your Tomoe build have Virtuoso Belt instead of Velocious? Was perving some Item Sets a few days ago... or did you make a serious typo when addng the itme in and then were just too lazy to change?

He uses Velocious. Tiger needs less ACC than I do FFS. Damn Elvaan sometimes.
